As the leading turnkey provider of pharmaceutical packaging equipment, Optima Group Pharma delivers the whole range of services for filling and closing of liquid and powdery pharmaceuticals, lyophilization, isolators and e-beam decontamination. Two exhibits will be on show at the upcoming Pharmtech event in Moscow: the Inova SV125 and a Klee freeze drying pilot plant. They will be complemented by a cross section demo model of an isolator.

The Inova SV125 is designed with two filling stations for an output of up to 5,000 syringes/hr. Since the machine is extensible, it can also be operated with up to five filling heads. In this configuration, it is possible to achieve an output of up to 10,000 units/hr. With different sets of pumps, syringes are filled within a format range of 0.5ml – 50ml. The Inova SV125 is designed in a way that different units for pre-processing and post-processing can be docked to it. The machine can be loaded either manually, semi-automatically or automatically. Furthermore, it is possible to install different decontamination systems for the outer bags. Semi-automatic or fully automatic bag unwrapping units, or even semi-automatic or fully automatic pull-off systems for Tyvek paper are available.

Its small and compact design helps to minimize clean room space, thereby saving costs, yet it offers the technical characteristics of a high-performance machine. Cost effectiveness is also ensured by the quick format changeovers that are possible thanks to the small number of format parts. Nested vials likewise can be processed effectively on the machine. The Inova machine is optionally available in isolator design.

The Klee freeze dryer presented by Optima Group Pharma is a pilot machine used for freeze drying tests. If required, the machine can be modified for serial production. This special design with its slide door allows manual loading and unloading under isolator. VHP sterilization of the freeze dryer is also possible. A special plug closing mechanism at the rear of the machine allows individual vials of a testing lot to be closed, enabling the user to evaluate ongoing processes. 2R to 200H vials can be processed.

Optima Group Pharma will be at Pharmtech, Moscow, 22-25 November 2011, at booth number D03.
