Multisorb Exhibits Simulation Technology and Sorbent Solutions at CPhI and P-MEC

Multisorb Technologies will be attending CPhI and P-MEC India exhibition from 2-4 December.

CPhI and P-MEC, which takes place at Bombay Convention and Exhibition Centre in Mumbai, India, is the largest and most comprehensive pharmaceutical industry event in South Asia.

Multisorb will join 1,045 exhibitors from more than 21 countries, highlighting latest innovations, technologies, trends and developments in India’s pharmaceutical industry.

The company will be displaying its own innovative technology that can save pharmaceutical manufacturers six to 12 months in development time, which allows companies to be first for regulatory filing.

Pharmaceutical formulations that are moisture or oxygen sensitive require a desiccant or oxygen absorber (sorbent) to maintain the stability of medicines.

Multisorb developed simulation technology to determine which sorbent or sorbent blend and how much to use, which can usually be a time consuming and expensive process.

Through consultation, Multisorb’s scientists collect information concerning characteristics of the pharmaceutical product, its shelf life expectations, packaging materials, configuration and environmental conditions it will be exposed to during transport and storage.

Using the information and advanced technology, the scientists can create simulations of the environment inside pharmaceutical Simulation technology can successfully determine the drug product’s sorbent requirement, and the predictive model can eliminate sorbent ranging studies.

Multisorb will feature Multiform CSF canister desiccant, which is one of the solutions that can be optimised using simulation technology. The canister offers twice the capacity of standard 1g canisters with the same size and shape, saving valuable packaging space.

Unlike other canisters filled with a loose desiccant, the Multiform CSF is a coated solid form, providing dust-free protection. If packaging lines require automated insertion of StripPax® and StabilOx® sorbent packets, Multisorb pairs the sorbent with its corresponding packet dispenser, providing an efficient system.

Multisorb will demonstrate its APA model 2000 StripPax / StabilOx packet dispenser with a bottling interface and splicing cabinet.

The splicing cabinet, available with dry air or inert gas purge, allows the system to run continuously. As one roll finishes it is spliced into the next roll, preventing unnecessary downtime. Multisorb will be exhibiting at hall 7, stand P18.

Calculations through Operations provides a simplified, one-stop solution that enhances product stability and extended product shelf life.
The StabilOx System is a turnkey solution that brings together the advantages of StabilOx® Oxygen Absorbing Packets or Canisters with the proven reliability of the...
