New 92W.B Grinding Media

By William Boulton

Under normal working conditions, mill linings last about 12 times longer than steel and rubber and 25 to 30 times longer than stone and other conventional ceramic lining materials.

The new 92W.B grinding media are higher in density as compared to Steatite. The media's density is 3.65gm/cc to 3.70gm/cc and it is ideal for milling hard and abrasive substances, with a hardness of 7 and above on Moh's scale. Due to its higher density and higher hardness, the contamination level is negligible.

Grinding is faster than porcelain, steatite, and other conventional grinding media. The grinding media generates heat above 65° C during the milling process. Therefore, 92W.B media is not recommended for milling or dispersion of heat-sensitive formulations.
