July 2022 has seen a decrease of 2.73% in the overall hiring activity when compared with June 2022.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in July 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 51.28% in July 2022, a 2.83% drop over the previous month. Computer and Information Analysts came in next, claiming a share of 20.94% in July 2022, marking a 24.05% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 12.82% in July 2022, a 9.09% drop from June 2022.

Top five pharma companies in Asia-Pacific’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 0.49% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s pharma industry during July 2022 over previous month.
AstraZeneca posted 62 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a decline of 7.46% over the previous month, followed by Parexel International with 48 jobs and a 45.45% growth. Johnson & Johnson with 33 IT jobs and Bayer with 32 jobs, recorded a 15.38% drop and a 10.34% rise, respectively, while GSK recorded a 16.67% decline with 30 job postings during July 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s pharma industry
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 58.97% share in July 2022, an 8% decrease over June 2022. China featured next with a 17.09% share, up 23.08% over the previous month. Australia recorded a 9.4% share, a growth of 25.71% compared with June 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 61.54%, up by 7.06% from June 2022. Mid Level positions with a 27.56% share, registered a decline of 11.64% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 10.68% share, up 13.64% over June 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.21%, recording a month-on-month decline of 95.24%.
