UK-based company AstraZeneca’s IT hiring declined 12.3% in June 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 9.51% in June 2022 when compared with May 2022.

IT jobs claimed an 8.11% share in the company’s total hiring activity in June 2022, and recorded a 0.16% growth over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops AstraZeneca IT hiring in June 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by AstraZeneca, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 29.13% in June 2022, and a 13.95% drop over May 2022, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 27.56% in June 2022, and registered a decline of 18.6%. Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 26.77% in June 2022, a 17.07% drop from May 2022.

Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at AstraZeneca

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global pharma IT hiring activity in June 2022 with a 51.97% share, which marked a 19.51% drop over the previous month.

Europe stood next with 25.98%, registering a 40% month-on-month decline. North America was the third leading region with a 19.69% share and a 24.24% drop over May 2022.

In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 2.36% and a month-on-month decline of 50%.

India commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 44.09% share in June 2022, an 18.84% decline over May 2022. The UK featured next with a 14.17% share, down 37.93% over the previous month. Mexico recorded a 10.24% share, a decline of 38.1% compared with May 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead AstraZeneca IT hiring activity in June 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 60.63%, down by 19.79% from May 2022. Mid Level positions with a 19.69% share, a decline of 13.79% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Senior job ads with 14.96% share, down 51.28% over May 2022, while Entry Level postings accounted for 4.72%, recording a month-on-month decline of 50%.
