AstraZeneca’s IT hiring activity rises 8.9% in July 2022

UK-based company AstraZeneca’s IT hiring rose 8.9% in July 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 8.89% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.

IT jobs claimed an 8.1% share in the company’s total hiring activity in July 2022, and recorded a 0.25% decline over the last three-month average share.

Miscellaneous Computer Occupations tops AstraZeneca IT hiring in July 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by AstraZeneca, Miscellaneous Computer Occupations emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 26.24% in July 2022, and a 2.78% rise over June 2022, while Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers claimed a share of 24.11% in July 2022, and registered a decline of 15%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 21.28% in July 2022, a 50% rise from June 2022.

Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at AstraZeneca

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global pharma IT hiring activity in July 2022 with a 43.97% share, which marked a 7.46% drop over the previous month.

North America stood next with 29.08%, registering a 32.26% month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with an 18.44% share and a 21.21% drop over June 2022.

In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 8.51% and a month-on-month increase of 300%.

India commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 35.46% share in July 2022, a 12.28% decline over June 2022. Mexico featured next with a 15.6% share, up 29.41% over the previous month. US recorded a 13.48% share, an increase of 72.73% compared with June 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead AstraZeneca IT hiring activity in July 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 65.25%, up by 13.58% from June 2022. Mid Level positions with a 27.66% share, a growth of 50% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 5.67% share, flat growth over June 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.42%, recording a month-on-month decline of 89.47%.
