The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 8.7% in June 2022 when compared with May 2022.
Out of the pharma industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 14.42% share in June 2022, recording an increase of 1.43% over the last three-month average share.

Top five pharma companies in India’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 20.81% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s pharma industry during June 2022 over May 2022.
AstraZeneca posted 56 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered a drop of 18.84% over the previous month, followed by Bayer with 26 jobs and a 4% growth. GSK with 19 IT jobs and Merck with 19 jobs, recorded a 44.12% decline and a 29.63% decrease, respectively, while Novo Nordisk recorded a decline of 5.56% with 17 job postings during June 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 48.63%, down by 7.46% from May 2022. Mid Level positions with a 34.9% share, registered an increase of 2.3% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 9.41% share, up 4.35% over May 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 7.06%, recording a month-on-month decline of 55%.
