July 2022 has seen a decrease of 4.38% in the overall hiring activity when compared with June 2022.
IT jobs accounted for a 3.95% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in July 2022, registering an increase of 0.68% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in July 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Middle East & Africa with a share of 61.76% in July 2022, a 90.91% rise over the previous month. Computer and Information Analysts came in next, claiming a share of 20.59% in July 2022, marking a 250% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 11.76% in July 2022, a 100% rise from June 2022.
Computer and Information Research Scientists registered a share of 2.94% in July 2022, a flat growth over the previous month.
Top five pharma companies in Middle East & Africa’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 214.29% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Middle East & Africa’s pharma industry during July 2022 over previous month.
ICON posted 7 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered an increase of 600% over the previous month, followed by CytoReason with 6 jobs and a flat growth. Mediclinic International with 4 IT jobs and Parexel International with 3 jobs, recorded a 33.33% rise and a flat growth, respectively, while Abt Associates recorded a flat growth with 2 job postings during July 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Middle East & Africa’s pharma industry
Israel commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 29.41% share in July 2022, a 233.33% increase over June 2022. South Africa featured next with a 17.65% share, up 50% over the previous month. United Arab Emirates recorded an 11.76% share, a flat growth compared with June 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 64.71%, up by 29.41% from June 2022. Entry Level positions with a 23.53% share, registered a growth of 166.67% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with an 11.76% share, up 100% over June 2022.
