Spain’s pharma industry registered a 42.5% rise in IT hiring activity in April 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 12.08% in April 2022 when compared with March 2022.

Out of the pharma industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 16.95% share in April 2022, recording an increase of 4.7% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Spain’s pharma industry’s IT recruitment activity in April 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Spain’s pharma industry in April 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 71.67% in April 2022, registering an 115% flat growth over the previous month.

2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 12.5% share, an increase of 87.5% over the previous month.

3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 12.5%, registering a 275% rise from March 2022.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 2.5%, down 50% over the previous month.

Top five pharma companies in Spain’s IT recruitment activity in April 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 120% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Spain’s pharma industry during April 2022 over March 2022.

F. Hoffmann-La Roche posted 54 IT jobs in April 2022 and registered a rise of 800% over the previous month, followed by Sanofi with 27 jobs and a 12.5% growth. Bayer with 14 IT jobs and Grifols with 13 jobs, recorded a 250% flat growth and an 18.18% flat growth, respectively, while PSI CRO recorded a decline of 60% with 2 job postings during April 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in April 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 56.67%, up by 51.11% from March 2022. Mid Level positions with a 35.83% share, registered an increase of 230.77% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 7.5% share, up 350% over March 2022.
