piFLOW®p is specialised for conveying powder and granules transfer in premium industries with high requirements on hygiene and process control such as the food industry.

  • Designed with a stainless-steel, acid-resistant body (ASTM 316L,) with high-quality surface finish to meet the hygienic demands of FDA
  • Compliant with FDA, EN1935/2004 and EN 10/2011 and available with ATEX gas & ATEX
  • High throughput at small footprint, where the material is transported within different process steps (feeding to or from a process operation) in a contained and safe way, meaning toxics and allergens are contained within the piping and conveyor system, making the process safe for operators and environmental safe for operators and under staff.
  • It is also widely used to reclaim excessive material in the production process, either to scrap the excessive material, or to feed the material back to the process, all handled in a safe way, not depending on operator interaction.

With a flexible and modular design, piFLOW®p covers the capacity range from two to 56 litre per conveying cycle, meaning up to 14 metric ton per hour.

piFLOW®p also comes with an option WIP (Wet In Place) which binds the material prior to dismantling and cleaning the conveyor, minimising the risk of hazardous exposure and spread/contamination of toxic/allergenic material.

There are several different filter types available, all with a standardised interface, so different filter types can be used in the same conveyor, all depending what material is conveyed at different times. The filters have different total filter area, and filters available from 0,5 µm to 5µ. There is always a filter suitable for your specific material. (Everything from bridging, sticky and free-flowing materials).

Filters are automatically cleaned by at least one filter shock after each conveying cycle, and available with up to 5 shocks, depending on the chosen control system.

For materials that are bridging / ratholing (link video on fluidisation) fluidisation is available as an option. Fluidisation allows for compressed gas to pass through a porous material, creating a cushion that reduces the coefficient of friction allowing non-free-flowing material to discharge freely from the vacuum receiver. Fluidisation is ideal for the conveying of non-free-flowing powders, a common characteristic of so many sugars and starches.

For the piFLOW®p conveyors, there are also accessories available such as feed stations & feed adapters, tablet press interfaces, feed nozzles and hosing/tubing, to complete the conveying system.

Significant for all conveyors is safe material transport compared to other ways of moving materials.

piFLOW®p is offered both with COAX® pumps, as well as electro-mechanical pumps as vacuum generator source. The difference is that with COAX® pumps, the vacuum is generated by a compressor, are much smaller and lighter, whilst the electro-mechanical pumps energy-source is electricity.
