Multisorb Technologies has appointed Irene Low to the position of business development leader of Healthcare Packaging East Asia and Australia.

Irene will support current East Asia, Australia and New Zealand customers and lead new business development efforts for healthcare packaging in the region.

The appointment demonstrates Multisorb’s commitment to provide solutions-based sorbent technology to the global healthcare market using its Calculations through Operations programme.

Based in Singapore, Irene will report to Mr Laxmikant Khaitan, commercial director of Healthcare Packaging, Asia Pacific.

Mr Laxmikant Khaitan said: "Irene’s knowledge and skill set will help take forward Multisorb’s strategy of thinking global and acting local.

"Irene will lead the growth and success of Multisorb’s healthcare packaging market in the region."

Irene was previously with DMV-Fonterra Excipients (DFE Pharma) as area sales manager for Asia Pacific.

Prior to this role, she was head of Business Segments Asia Pacific for Evonik Industries for specialty polymers and held progressive sales and marketing roles with Behn Meyer Specialty Chemicals.

Irene holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Cell Molecular Biology from the National University of Singapore and an MBA from the University of Western Australia.
