FlexLink’s new generation line concept offers high volume distribution systems between fillers, tray packers and palletizers for mixed production in dairies. It gives increased machine utilization, full routing flexibility and process control. The solution is based on the new state of the art hygienic conveyor system.

The overall target for the Dynamic Line Balancing concept is to increase filling, packing and palletizing line utilization ultimately to 95%. For the first time in the dairy industry, mixed line production with flexible tray packaging and palletizing together with full process control is made possible.

The development is based on FlexLink’s patented Dynamic Flow Concept for the tissue paper converting industry, where requirements for on-the-fly diverters and mergers is becoming industry standard. The modularity of the line concept allows for step-by-step automation, which will give producers a tool to invest in equipment in accordance with the volume development.

The hygienic requirements are fulfilled by FlexLink’s second generation of all stainless steel conveyors. Lubrication-free chain, a unique self-draining design and a Cleaning In Place (CIP) system are the answers to increased hygienic focus in the food and dairy industries of today. The FlexLink CIP solution offers an 80% reduction of detergent consumption, 50% reduction of hot water consumption and up to 5% increased line uptime.

The concept has been designed for continuous product flow through different temperature and hygiene zones of the plant, thereby contributing to a longer product shelf-life.
