Delta T - Temperature-Sensitive Transportation Systems

Delta T manufactures insulated boxes, temperature stabilising, and temperature monitoring products for storing and transporting pharmaceutical products. Our new technology enables the safe transportation and storage of temperature-sensitive goods, including blood products, cultures, tissues, anti-bodies and pharmaceuticals, domestically and worldwide.

PASSIVE STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION - PHASE-CHANGE FLUID

Our technology is a passive method of storing and transporting products and is mainly comprised of elements filled with phase-change fluid. These non-toxic fluids simply need to be charged by cooling them to the temperature required and then this stored energy keep your goods at the necessary temperature.

It is important to note that our technology cannot be compared to gels, as these generally can only reach temperatures of 0°C.This technology allows a temperature range from -30ºC to +50ºC. We can therefore supply transportation solutions to suit almost any product.

Another important characteristic of our method is that the product is also protected against freezing, which of course may otherwise happen when using dry ice or wet ice in very cold conditions.

MODULAR PHARMACEUTICAL PACKAGING

All our systems are modular, which means you can increase the volume of products to be transported as you require and the elements fit exactly inside the packaging, which improves the insulation properties.

TEMPERATURE STABILISING ELEMENTS - TEMPSHELL-SYSTEM

The bases of our technology are our temperature stabilising elements. These elements are filled with a fluid, which when pre-cooled, will hold the temperature, much the same as a re-chargeable battery, and they then maintain the temperature required. We can supply five different standard temperatures: -30°C, -18°C, 4°C, 22°C and 37°C, to cover most of the temperatures required to transport and store products.

INSULATED BOXES - MONO / TRIPLEBOX

To enhance our range of passive elements we also produce a range of passive and active insulated outer packaging, which prolongs the storage and transportation periods for up to 120 hours at the temperatures required in ambient temperatures of -15ºC and +40ºC. We can also produce a validation system in the form of a data logger together with software to validate the transportation cycle.

Incidentally, our boxes are also excellent for the transportation of cultures / tissues / anti-bodies within a company from laboratory to laboratory.

TEMPERATURE MONITORING SYSTEMS - THERMOSCAN

To be able to check that the temperature has been maintained within the elements and boxes we supply a temperature monitoring system called ThermoScan. It consists of a coin size chip, which can be set by you to read temperatures at chosen intervals. This chip is place inside the box and after the transportation; you place it inside the adapter, which then reads off the data on a PC.

• Modular system allows user to determine volumes (from 10ml samples to container loads), temperatures and transportation periods from 6hrs to 120hrs
• Refrigerated vehicles not required, reducing costs and increasing choice of freight forwarders
• Secure during power cuts: products stored with our thermal stabilising elements that are kept in a refrigerator will maintain the exact temperature; even during a power cut the elements continue to hold that temperature
• Exact temperature is maintained, i.e. 4°C and not 0°C as is the case when using ICE-Packs
• Your products are not damaged when in contact with our Elements which can be the case when using dry-ice for temperatures of -18°C
