With the increasing number of biologics coming to market, the demand for drug delivery solutions such as auto injectors has increased significantly in recent years. This demand is projected to grow even more rapidly in the next five years. While North America and Europe have been key drivers for such devices, the trend of launching more combination products has already begun to influence other regions such as Asia. As a result, events such as The World Drug Delivery Congress 2011 in Singapore will attract the attention of biopharmaceutical companies, drug delivery device manufacturers and more.

SHL marketing director Steven Kaufman will be speaking at the event and sharing with the audience some of the challenges and opportunities associated with auto injectors from a device manufacturer perspective. Commenting on this event, Steven stated: “It is an honour to be invited to speak at such a prestigious event where many of the industry’s key decision makers will attend and share their knowledge and experience. The growth of the drug delivery market has stimulated innovation amongst device manufacturers when developing advanced drug delivery devices such as the auto injector. I will be sharing with the group some of the key learnings SHL has gained over the years when partnering with biopharmaceutical companies to work on auto injector projects and I look forward to the many discussions held at the congress.”

In addition to speaking at the WDD event, SHL will also be exhibiting and demonstrating devices at Table A4 on both days.
