Roquette has announced it will attend the eighth EuPFI conference in Portugal.

EuPFI is a consortium working pre-competitively on paediatric drug formulations. Its members are from academia, hospital pharmacies and the pharmaceutical industry (innovators, generics, contract research organisations (CRO), and excipient manufacturers) with European Medicine Agency (EMA) as an observer.

It aims to expedite the development of better and safer medicines for children by identifying and scoping issues and challenges in paediatric formulation development. It brings together volunteers to tackle the development of age appropriate formulation for paediatrics, providing funding, expertise, and resources to support new technologies emerging from academic research.

Experts from Roquette Pharma will be presenting taste masking acetaminophen chewable tablets using maltitol plus intense sweetener synergy. The company will be available to answer any questions about its technologies and services, which are adapted to all patient populations including paediatrics.

Roquette will attend the EuPFI in Lisbon, Portugal, on 20 September.
