Pharmaceutical contract manufacturing and packaging of various dosage forms

Orion has three pharmaceutical plants, all located in Finland. We offer the following dosage forms for pharmaceutical contract manufacturing:

• Solid oral dosage forms (tablets, capsules)
• Hormonal tablets, gels and solutions
• Cytostatics (anti-cancer products)
• Small volume parenterals
• Liquids (oral and nasal liquids, nasal sprays)
• Semi-solids (creams, gels and ointments)

High potency and hormonal contract manufacturing and packaging

Orion can manufacture and package high potency and hormonal products, and cytostatics.

For hormonal products we offer various dosage forms and packaging options. In addition to tablets, we are able to produce hormonal gels and solutions. Packaging options available for gels and solutions include bottles, tubes and sachets. We have jar packaging capabilities in place for hormonal tablets, cytostatic capsules and tablets. Hormonal tablets can also be packed into blisters.

Fluent and efficient technology transfer

Based on our history as an R&D-based company, Orion has the required expertise and processes to ensure that technology transfer projects are carried out efficiently, and according to customer requirements.

When bringing new products into our production environment, we employ solid project management tools and practices throughout the organisation. Close co-operation is a key factor in a successful technology transfer.

Continuous support for pharmaceutical product lifecycles

Orion's R&D organisation is fully committed to providing support for the supply chain throughout a product's lifecycle. This includes product development and maintenance, process development, as well as troubleshooting. Our fully equipped pilot facility can be used for scale-up purposes. Our comprehensive array of manufacturing equipment of various sizes further contributes to scale-up projects.

Key account managers help establish a personal relationship with the customer and ensure fluent and efficient co-operation. Our key account managers also work in close collaboration with all the Orion line functions in order to meet our customers' expectations.
