Priorclave has developed a Q63 steriliser with a larger cylindrical chamber than that found on other similar designs.

Chamber size is important when selecting an autoclave as there must be adequate air flow around items to ensure proper, reliable sterilisation. The taller chamber profile of the Priorclave Q63 front-loading autoclave and more efficient sterilising process would be an effective combination.

The all-round design benefits of the Q63 cylindrical chamber autoclave will appeal to laboratory managers in diverse industrial sectors such as food, drink, dairy, pharmaceutical, agricultural, education, healthcare as well as dedicated research establishments wanting a more affordable high-capacity autoclave.

It also presents a real opportunity to acquire a more economically priced autoclave than invest in a large rectangular chamber laboratory autoclave.

Priorclave Q63 front loading capacity autoclave offers increased load capacity for sterilisation and a combination of features.

This includes forced air cooling to reduce cycle times and automatic timed free-steaming for improved air removal for better sterilising performance of the Q63 autoclave. It is ideal for sterilising applications such as media preparation, liquids and diluent, waste, glassware instruments and apparatus that requires superior cleansing.

The 320l capacity autoclave has a 630mm chamber and comes with a convenient, low loading height of 725mm and features the quickseal single-action door opened fitted with thermal and pressure locks to prevent opening at load temperatures above 80°C and pressures above 0.2 bar.

All operating settings are programmed easily through the Tactrol® 2 microprocessor controller. The controller can do simple cycles, a fully featured multi-program operation with printed records and provides unrivalled flexibility and monitoring.

Control options are available for every autoclaving need. TACTROL 2 is simple to use, just set the temperature and time required, select any options needed and press start. A tough, clear control panel with digital displays continuously provides information on status.

By fully automating the autoclave process and including features to assist with autoclave management, TACTROL 2 allows users to continue with other tasks secure in the knowledge that autoclaving is proceeding safely and efficiently.

Packed with self-monitoring systems, TACTROL 2 has pre-set actions for events such as power failure or low water levels. A number of features are built in allowing cycle optimisation for the diverse functions demanded by a modern laboratory.

The efficiency and effectiveness of the sterilising cycle also ensures that research and general laboratories may also enjoy lower overall running costs associated with reduced power and water usage.

Advantage of the TACTROL 2 controller is that it can be configured to log all temperature, pressure time and cycle data into a single compact archive file, which can be subsequently downloaded onto a USB flash drive for transfer to computer.

This enables operational data to be forwarded from anywhere in the world direct to Priorclave’s UK service centre for technical assistance in fine-tuning and clarification of autoclave performance if required.

Strength in design

The build of the Priorclave front loading Q63 autoclave incorporates epoxy coated panels and frame members treated with an anti-bacterial agent that is highly effective and permanent treatment for control of harmful bacteria.

It makes surfaces cleaner, more hygienic and provide durable lifelong protection against the threat of cross contamination.

This tough special epoxy finish is proven to reduce bacterial growth by up to 99.99% and is highly effective against MRSA, E coli, Listeria, Legionella, Campylobacter, Salmonella, Pseudomonas and more than 50 other species.

The Q63 320l front loading autoclave is part of an extensive autoclave range designed and manufactured in the UK by Priorclave and follows one of the most stringent QA programmes, conforming to either PED or ASME standards depending on which country the autoclave will be installed.
