The T2620 is the improved version of the XMV Datamatrix Station for serialization designed to serialise cartons to meet legal product traceability and compliance requirements.

These requirements are not only mandated by the Falsified Medicines Directive (FMD) in Europe or the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) in the US, but also by other Track & Trace regulations worldwide, with more in development.

Variable data such as serial numbers, batch numbers, expiry dates and static product identifiers are printed directly on to the cartons and verified via cameras for accuracy and quality. Serial numbers that read as ‘GOOD’ are stored in the database as ‘COMMISSIONED’. Due to its compact size, the T2620 system can be easily integrated into new production lines or can be added to upgrade existing lines providing a full range of functions and user-friendly operation.

Features and benefits

The T2620 provides diverse mechanical options to serve a wide range of production scenarios, including the serialisation of several packaging types and sizes with quick product changeovers. High-speed production environments are no problem, as the T2620 is capable of performing full serialisation services at speeds of up to 400 parts per minute.

Using the PCE Line Manager (PLM), the T2620 is equipped with end-to-end software for managing the Track & Trace process from item to pallet level.

An integrated smart camera checks the quality of the information printed on a packaging and instantly forwards it to PLM.

Integrated countercheck sensors verify that all printed packages pass the production line regardless of whether the print was read ‘GOOD’ or ‘BAD’.
