Designed and built in the UK, LTE Scientific’s new Touchclave-ecotech autoclave has a high number of features, uses a low amount of water, and is energy-efficient.

Having responded to increasing customer demands to reduce their carbon footprint and utility costs, the Touchclave-ecotech is a technically advanced, economically friendly, and multi-purpose unit. The ecotech range currently comprises two front loading models of 40l and 60l, which can be bench mounted. It also includes a 60l top-loading model with low loading height.

Ecotech’s unique external steam generation system saves both water usage and energy. Users do not have to wait for water reservoirs to heat up as the new ecotech delivers steam in seconds, resulting in shorter cycle times and significant energy savings.

The single piece 316L grade stainless steel pressure vessel is completely seamless, providing a smooth and clean interior. In addition, Ecotech’s door locking system automatically draws the door closed, applying the right amount of pressure to seal every time. At the end of the cycle, the door is opened via a touchscreen. Auto-fill and auto-drain is also a standard feature ensuring that each cycle starts with a clean charge of water.

At the heart of the new ecotech range is LTE’s intuitive new icon driven thin-film transistor (TFT) colour touchscreen control system, which comes with eight programmable cycles as standard. This is optionally expandable to 16, 32, or 64 cycles.

All cycles are customer configurable and can be programmed at the machine interface or on a PC using LTE’s Smart Create software. It is then downloaded into the autoclave memory via a built-in USB port. The TFT touchscreen not only displays temperature and pressure but also cycle stage data and in-cycle messages, giving the user a complete overview of cycle progress and status.

The facility for remote data archiving of cycles via Ethernet connection to a PC is supplied on all machines. If required, ecotech can be configured for internal data archiving and uploaded to a USB Flash drive.

When ecotech isn’t in use, it will automatically go into one of its sleep modes, effectively going to standby and drawing minimal power. Simply touching the screen will wake the system up. Alternatively, it can be programmed to wake up and start a cycle through the delayed start feature.
