generous gin

One of the most talked-about highlights from Gerresheimer’s LuxePack trade fair showcase is opal glass.

Many of Gerresheimer’s high-profile customers rely on the cool and glossy elegance of the white glass to market their cosmetics and fragrances.

However, other high-quality products can also make an impact in eye-catching bottles and jars made from opal glass.

A new furnace for opal glass will also ensure that the glass retains its high quality in the future.

Only recently, Mäurer & Wirtz, one of Gerresheimer’s most important customers, honored the company with its ‘Best Supplier Award’.

Gerresheimer senior director sales cosmetics Bernd Stauch said: "Opal glass is currently experiencing a remarkable revival.

"Not only has it been discovered by the fragrance and cosmetics sector, but it is also ideal for bottling high-quality spirits, for example the stylish bottle used for ‘Generous Gin.’"

The Gerresheimer Group’s opal glass furnace is located at Gerresheimer Momignies in Belgium.

Recently overhauled, it is equipped with enhanced technology and is more environmentally friendly than its predecessor.
