Pharmaceutical blister, sachet, bottle and stick-pack packaging

Ropack is flexible, supporting short-run start-ups, commercial production, warehousing, and North American and international distribution services. Our facilities are cGMP-compliant, site-licensed by the FDA and Health Canada-certified for the manufacturing of blister, stick-pack, sachet and bottle packaging of tablets, capsules, liquids and powders. We also hold a Natural Health Product license. Ropack recently invested nearly $9m to convert 15,000 sqaure feet for stick-pack packaging and other temperature- and humidity-sensitive products. The facility, with 27 modular clean rooms, is part of Ropack's nearly 250,000 square feet of space.

Our pharmaceutical contract manufacturing services are carried out in state-of-the-art facilities by our highly trained personnel. Our comprehensive pharmaceutical contract manufacturing capabilities are designed to meet the exact needs of our customers. They include:

  • Stick-pack packaging: under low RH, controlled temperatures and controlled residual oxygen
  • Blister packaging: senior-friendly, child-resistant and cold-formed
  • Pouch filling: powders, solid dosages and liquids (pouch filling under nitrogen and pouch filling within controlled-humidity environments is also available)

Secondary pharmaceutical packaging

Secondary pharmaceutical packaging is a vital part of the preparation process. Ropack provides secondary pharmaceutical packaging services that ensure your products are ready for market on time. These include:

  • Establishing specifications and procurement of printed packaging materials
  • Cartoning: automatic insertion of pouches, bottles, blisters, stick-packs and leaflets; bar code and pharmacode inspection using scanning and vision systems
  • Blister packaging in thermo-sealed cards (also available in wallet format)

Pharmaceutical product warehousing and distribution

Ropack provides warehousing and distribution services for commercial products and clinical trial materials to locations in the US, Canada and Europe. From secure, stable storage to reliable shipment and delivery services, we can provide invaluable help in managing your products.

We handle the reception of finished products and issuing of reception reports, as well as clinical trial distribution management, clinical trial return management, and management or destruction of returned materials from clinical trails.

Our warehouse has both ambient and cold storage capabilities (2°C to 8°C), and the minimum / maximum temperatures of the warehouse and refrigeration unit are documented. We have two vaults for controlled substances (level 9 security) with biometric access daily, weekly, monthly or annual inventory reports available.
