The Dundonald-based packaging machinery manufacturer, Sepha, has developed a new, mobile blister packing machine to meet demand from pharmaceutical R&D and clinical trial laboratories for a flexible, cost-effective blister-packing solution.

EZ BlisterII enables labs requiring short runs of high-quality blister packs to choose from a range of technical options and combine these with extensive standard features, creating a final product that is tailored to their exact commercial and production requirements.

The company chose the UK’s largest packaging expo, held at the NEC recently, to launch the machine and its chief executive Aubrey Sayers said that already levels of interest from international pharmaceutical companies have exceeded their initial expectations: “Market reaction to the launch of EZ Blister II has been tremendous. Within a day of its launch we have had enquiries coming in already from around the globe, from locations such as Uruguay to Norway. Traffic to our website is up 20% in less than a week. In a global market that is experiencing significant change, EZ Blister II is the right product at this time.”
